At HealthFit we recognize that our patients’ medical needs don’t always follow a predictable schedule. At the same time, it is important that our patients get their healthcare needs met by people who know them, their history, and their particular situation. Because of that, HealthFit practices a program that Dr. Perez implemented at several locations while in the U.S. Navy. It is called open-access. This means that any HealthFit patient who has a truly acute condition requiring that they be seen by a provider on a same day basis, will be seen, even if our staff has to stay past “normal business hours” to make it happen. So as long as patients with acute conditions contact our office by 12:00 p.m., we will find a way to get them taken care of that same day. While we can’t guarantee that acute patients will be seen by the provider of their choice, all of our providers work closely together. They have full access to one another’s patient records and will provide the same quality care expected by our patients and will actively communicate with one another in order to assure consistency in approach.
